스타벅스 영어 일상회화 | 영어로 커피숍에서 주문하기

스타벅스에서 영어로 주문하는 방법입니다. 스타벅스가 아닌 여러 커피숍에도 이용할 수 있는 표현이지만 스타벅스의 샷추가, 시럽, 우유의 종류 등 다양한 상황에서 주문을 할 수 있다면 일반적인 커피숍에서도 주문이 쉽겠지요?

 

내가 말할 기본적인 핵심 문장은 아래와 같습니다. 

• Can I get a [size] [drink name], please? (e.g. "Can I get a Venti Latte, please?")
• Can I have a [size] [drink name], [milk type], please? (e.g. "Can I have a Tall Americano, soy milk, please?")
• Can I get a [size] [drink name], [number of shots], [milk type], please? (e.g. "Can I get a Grande Espresso, two shots, almond milk, please?")
• Can I have a [size] [drink name], with [flavor shot], please? (e.g. "Can I have a Short Mocha, with raspberry syrup, please?")
• Can I have a [size] [drink name], extra [foam/syrup], please? (e.g. "Can I have a Tall Cappuccino, extra foam, please?")

 

기본 문형에서 쓸 수 있는 내용들 알아보기 

Size :  스타벅스에서는 사이즈를 Short / Tall / Grande / Venti와 같이 표기합니다.

Coffee 종류 : Espresso, Americano, Latte, Cappuchino, Mocha, Machiato etc

Milk 종류 : Whole milk, 2% milk, Non-fat milk, Soy milk, Almond milk, Coconut milk, lactose-free milk, non-dairy milk

Syrup 종류 : Vanilla, Caramel, Hazelnut, Raspberry etc

실제 대화는 아래와 같은 순서로 이루어집니다. 

• Customer: Hi, can I get a Venti Latte, please?
• Barista: Sure thing! Would you like that with whole milk or any alternative milk options?
• Customer: Can I have it with soy milk, please?
• Barista: Of course! And would you like that with any flavor syrups or shots of espresso?
• Customer: No, just a plain Venti Latte with soy milk, please.
• Barista: Got it! That'll be $4.75. Your Venti Latte with soy milk is ready. Enjoy!
• Customer: Thanks!

 

요즘은 까페 내에서 먹는지 외부로 가져갈지 물어보는 경우도 많아요. 

이럴 때 to-go라는 표현과 for here라는 표현이 좋겠네요. 

이럴 경우 아래와 같이 대화가 이루어집니다. 

 

• Customer: Hi, can I get a Venti Mocha, please?
• Barista: Sure thing! Would you like that to-go or for here?
• Customer: For here, please.
• Barista: Great! Would you like that with whole milk or any alternative milk options?
• Customer: Can I have it with soy milk, please?
• Barista: Of course! And would you like that with any flavor syrups or shots of espresso?
• Customer: Yes, can I add a shot of hazelnut syrup, please?
• Barista: Absolutely! That'll be $5.25. Your Venti Mocha with soy milk and hazelnut syrup is ready. Enjoy!

바리스타가 물어보기 전에 먼저 얘기하는 게 편하다면 아래와 같이 대화를 하면 됩니다.

• Barista: Absolutely! Would you like that with any milk or flavor syrups?
• Customer: No, just black, please.
